Privacy Policy

Subscriptions (the "App") is an iPhone app for managing your subscriptions, provided by Tokyo Apps (the "Provider"). The App is designed to respect your privacy and does not collect your information on the Provider's servers.

1. The Provider does not collect your information

• The App has no accounts or sign-in.
• The App does not use analytics tools, advertising, or tracking (following you across other companies' apps and websites).
• The Provider cannot receive or view the information you enter in the App.

2. Information the App stores on your device

The following information you enter is stored only on your device:

• Your subscriptions (service name, price, currency, billing dates, trials, category, notes, icon settings, and so on)
• Payment method names and the last four digits of cards (the full card number is never stored; the App warns you if you enter something that looks like a card number)
• App settings (base currency, appearance, notification time, app lock, and so on)
• Scheduled notifications and a record of notifications from the past 30 days
• Exchange rates and temporarily cached service logos (described below)

Deleting the App removes this information from your device.

3. iCloud sync

If you use iCloud on your iPhone, the App's data is stored in your own private iCloud storage and synced between devices signed in to the same Apple Account. This data is managed by Apple, and the Provider cannot access it. For how iCloud handles data, see Apple's privacy policy.

4. Communication with outside services

The App connects to outside services over the internet only in the two cases below. In neither case does it send information that identifies you (such as your name, email address, or device identifiers) or the prices, dates, or notes you entered. As with any internet connection, the receiving service can see your IP address.

(1) Exchange rates (Frankfurter)

To add up prices in different currencies, the App downloads a list of exchange rates from Frankfurter, a service that publishes public data such as reference rates from the European Central Bank. The App only requests the list of rates and does not send anything you entered. The rates are saved on your device and used when you are offline.

(2) Service logos (Brandfetch)

The App includes logos for major services. Only when it needs a logo that is not included does it send that service's domain (for example, example.com) to Brandfetch to receive the logo image.

• Only the domain of the service to display is sent; prices, dates, notes, and so on are not.
• The logo received is cached temporarily on your device for the period Brandfetch allows (usually 24 hours).

• If you prefer not to use logos, set the icon to "Symbol" or "Initial" on the edit screen, and the App will not fetch a logo for that service.

5. Purchases (Premium)

Premium purchases (monthly, yearly, and lifetime) are made through Apple's App Store. Payment information is handled by Apple and is never received by the Provider. The App only checks with Apple whether a purchase is active.

6. Notifications

Reminders for billing dates and trial endings are local notifications scheduled on your device. They are not sent from the Provider's servers, and their content is not sent anywhere.

7. Face ID and Touch ID

If you lock the App with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode, authentication is handled by your iPhone. The App never receives or stores face or fingerprint data.

8. Crash reports

If you have allowed "Share With App Developers" in your iPhone settings, crash reports may be shared with the Provider through Apple when the App quits unexpectedly. These reports do not include information that identifies you. You can change this in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

9. Children's privacy

The App is not directed to children, and, as described above, it does not collect your information.

10. Changes to this policy

This privacy policy may be updated as needed. Changes will be posted on this page with the date of the last update.
